Mike Jeffress started his professional career in Vehicle Maintenance as an apprentice at H & J Auto Repair in Fayette MO. at the young age of 12. After graduating from High School he enrolled at Nashville Auto Diesel Technical College where he graduated in 1986 with perfect attendance and their highest academic award called the Craftsman Award. After graduating from NADC Mike went to work for Maverick Transportation LLC as an entry level technician. Over the past 31 years he has progressed through the ranks and now holds the title of VP of Maintenance.
Mike was one of the founding members of Arkansas Maintenance and Technology Council, were he has served as Chairman, he continues to support the council through mentoring efforts of those selected as future leaders of the council.
In 2004, Mike served as Chairman of the Technology and Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association. Mike was one of the founding members of the Professional Technician Development Committee that was created the year he was Chairman. The PTDC holds the National Technician Skills Competition each fall.
Mike is the recipient of the Nashville Auto Diesel College Hall of Fame award, a Silver Spark Plug recipient, HDT Innovator Award recipient and CCJ Career Leadership award recipient.
Mike who is married to Lynn Jeffress, his high school sweet heart, has three children and three grandchildren. His hobbies consist of spending time spoiling his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, coaching Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports and riding his Street Glide with his lovely bride Lynn.
